If you’ve attempted any of our past sludge formulas you realize that I commonly make sludge with borax. This time around I needed to have a go at utilizing fluid starch and it might simply be my new most loved technique to utilize, particularly when utilizing clear glue. Previously, I faced trouble finding the correct consistency with clear or sparkle stick when utilizing borax. The fluid starch makes it a great deal simpler and the sludge is the ideal consistency. Presently I will state that it truly relies upon what you feel is best for your children. Mine are mature enough to know not to place sludge in their mouth and can securely play with it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Clear Glue
  • ½ Cup Liquid Starch
  • Powdered Chunky Glitter
  • 2 Drops Yellow Food Color

Directions:

  1. Take glue, powdered glitter and food color in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well.
  2. Slowly drizzle liquid starch into the mixture. Mix after each pour of starch and mix until evenly distributed. Continue adding starch until you find a good thickness for the sludge. I typically use ½ cup but you can use up to 1/4 cup. The more starch you use the tougher the sludge will be.
  3. Add powdered glitter and mix it into the sludge with your hands.
  4. Keep it inside an airtight container.
